  1. When I complete this reply, I will go through the donation process, but I wanted to give you a little background on this donation. Our son, Josiah Fallot, currently lives in Italy with his wife who is in the US Air Force. His 25th birthday is on June 27th and when we asked what he wanted, he told us he has everything he needs, but would like anything we would have spent for his birthday to be donated to Cass Community. Both he and his wife are graduates of Albion College (2012 & 2013), and Josiah organized a few trips to Cass when he was in leadership with Albion’s volunteer group. The experiences he had on those trips has impacted his life. Cass not only changes lives around Detroit, but around the world. May God continue to bless your ministry abundantly!

PS. We will also be making a donation in honor of Evans Bentley, pastor at St. Paul’s Methodist in Monroe. He and Josiah share a birthday and a bond of faith. Evans will be 60 on June 27th and we wanted to recognize his faith journey as well.

  2. Congratulations to Patrice and Jeremiah, who requested a donation instead of a gift for their wedding. What a great way to start your lives together! We’re so happy for you!

  3. A high school classmate’s daughter died a few years ago and her mother Wendy Wade Murphy asked Kimball High, Royal Oak, class of 1986 to make a donation to a charity in her memory.

This donation is for the honored memory of Elle Murphy.

  5. My family is donating funds for the green industries solar panel project for Puerto Rico. We love the empowering concept, the service, and the mission. Together we can share and show a loving embrace for our neighbors. The goodness of humanity shines, as we were created for this!

  6. Our 10 year old grandson in Fond du Lac, WI wanted to donate part of his birthday gift to Cass Community Services because “they help people who really need a lot of help”. The check is “in the mail”…..

  7. Heard your story on PBS and had to give some money for this very excellent program. Keep up the great work. It is desperately needed. And I love the idea of the different design for each house!!

  8. Donating in lieu of Christmas presents for the second year in a row on behalf of my parents, Mike and Marilyn of Bloomfield Township, who are longtime active supporters of Cass. Happy holidays and thank you for all that you do for Detroit!

  9. This year for Christmas, my family opted to forgo the gift exchange and do a charity exchange instead. We drew names, and then each chose an organization to give to in lieu of presents. I drew my sister’s name, so today I’m donating to you on behalf of my sister Mary. I hadn’t heard of Cass Community Social Services before she mentioned it, but I’m happy that she picked such a worthy organization. Thank you for your great work!

  10. I’m a social worker in California. I️ would like more information on how to get a project like this started in my community.

  11. I am making a Christmas donation on behalf of my boss Richard & Janis Melin. They are great employers and have always spoke highly about the work Cass Community Social Services provides. Thank you again and Merry Christmas.

  12. Reverend Fowler gave a fabulous presentation today at the First Congregational Church in Royal Oak, MI. By turns moving, funny and educational she lifted us up. Our contribution is in honor of her hard work and vision.

  13. can you add an option to make monthly donations? This is how i like to donate funds, it helps me to maximize how much i can give and helps keeps orgs. accountable by knowing that as long as they keep doing good works they have a monthly stream of cash coming.

  14. Dear Cass,

We really love your mission, and the way you go about it helps to create a sense of community. You are actively making the world a better place!

We recently got married and asked our guests to donate to your cause in lieu of gifts. We’re excited to forward their generosity to you!

    Much love,

    Carly and Jake

  15. I am a runner. In April I was scheduled to run my 8th consecutive Boston Marathon. The COVID-19 pandemic first postponed, then cancelled this year’s race. Instead, the Boston Athletic Association is hosting a “virtual Boston Marathon.” I’ll be running 26.2 through the streets of my own neighborhood, downtown Plymouth (DTP) this fall. But I don’t want to just run, I want to also use this as an opportunity to “make a difference” in the world. I know that CCSS does just that and so part of my training for “virtual Boston Marathon” will include raising money for CCSS. I have set a goal to raise $10,000 before September 12th. If you’d like to help me achieve my goal, please leave a reply, noting the amount and that you are giving in honor of “Jenn’s DTP Virtual Boston Marathon.” Together we can make a difference.

    Sincerely,
    Jenn Burkett

  16. Just donated in honor of the Royal Oak Optimist Club. Faith Fowler’s “hometown” club. Thanks for your inspirational talk on Zoom this morning. Mike and Dawne R.
