A second clinic was started at Scott in 2003. Staffed by Dr. Heather Dickson Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, the health services target homeless men and women from our residential programs, the Drop-In Center and Rotating Shelter/Warming Center. Here, the emphasis is on medication compliance, as well as preventative measures like flu shots, proper nutrition and smoking cessation. Nurse Practitioner Venise Pittman offers health services on Tuesday evenings for individuals who work and/or attend school during the daytime hours.
Psychiatric services are also available at Scott for CCSS residents. The psychiatrist sees people for one-on-one sessions and in group settings on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
